Chroma Sea
The Chroma Sea is a region in Beastieball.
Description
The Chroma Sea is the region found furthest south, which includes several islands. It is bordered by Amberstone to the east, Geo City to the North, and a large, undefined area to the west. The Chroma Sea is denoted on the map as a sand-colored area.
Boats can be rented from Boathouses to cross the large expanse of water throughout the region.
There is a Ranked Coach in the Chroma Sea who reportedly once "annihilated" Riven in a match.
There are three towns in the Chroma Sea:
- Chartreuse, with its ranked coach Sunsoo and the Golden Gods;
- Gamboge, with its ranked coach Marcy and the Party Pirates;
- and Coquelicot Beach, a small beachfront town without a ranked coach.
There are also several islands, coastal environments, and other features of note:
The section of ocean to the west that contains Gamboge and Tawny Wilds is largely separated from the rest of the ocean by a stretch of reef, and is initially entirely blocked off by a giant Tortanchor, requiring progressing the story at Cerise Atoll in order to access it.
Beastie Encounters
Beastieball games in the open ocean of the Chroma Sea are played on the backs of quickly-arising Tortanchor, and guardian Beasties also seem to be riding Tortanchor.
There are some Beasties found on the open ocean:
The Beasties in the eastern section of the open ocean range from levels 9 through 11, while those in the western section are levels 15-17.
Trivia
- All of the islands, towns, and coastal environments of the Chroma Sea are named after colors, with the exception of Neptune Stadium.
- "Chroma" is Greek for "color" and has several color-related meanings of its own.
