Cyclone
From Beastiepedia: The Beastieball Wiki
Cyclone is a Defense-type play.
Effects
Cyclone forces its target to Tag Out. A benched player from the target's team is automatically tagged in to replace them.
When Cyclone targets the player making an Attack (including Free Ball) this turn:
- The attacker will still launch the attack—this can't be prevented.
- The Cyclone play (like any DEFENSE play) will occur while the ball is in the air, but before it hits its target.
- Cyclone's target is forced to Tag Out. Any effects related to tagging out occur now; most notably, the player being tagged out has their BOOSTs cleared, which can significantly alter the effectiveness of the attack.
- A benched player (chosen automatically) will Tag In. This will be the player at the bottom of the bench; if no one else has been tagged out yet, this will be the player in the third slot on the team. This triggers effects related to tagging in, like Trap damage. The other benched players will then shuffle down so that the player that tagged out is put at the top of the bench (meaning that if Cyclone is used again it will bring in a different player than the player it just sent out).
- The ball will hit its target as normal for whatever attack was launched (but the attacker's BOOSTs have been cleared).
