Froofulks

Froofulks is a Beastie. They metamorph from Jellibat after fulfilling a Yearning to return to Reserves.
Biology
Froofulks is a winged, batlike beastie. They appear less jellylike than Jellibat but still have some of the same sheen. Their body is a deep purple and can range from reddish purple to navy blue. They have a large neck scruff; in the front, it is vaguely heart-shaped and can be varying shades of pink, orange, peach, and wine red, while in the back it is white to off-white, fluffs up behind their head, and tapers into a stripe down the center of their back.
The top edge of their wings is various shades of green, with two small, banana-shaped claws partway along; the wing itself has a pattern resembling a fruit with a rind and seeds, with the center of the wing being the same colour as their chest fluff, the outer edge ranging from bright yellow through all shades of orange to a strawberry red, and a scalloped pattern between the two, as well as some teardrop-shaped markings above it, being white-to-off-white. The outer edge of the wing is also somewhat scalloped.
Their ears are similar in shape to Jellibat, tapering at the top, but are more evenly triangular; the backs of their ears are partially the same color as their chest scruff and partially the same colour as the outer edge of their wings, while the insides of the ears are mostly white with a purple center that resembles a fruit's pit. Their nose and the leaf-like claws on their hind legs are green, and they have a snout with two small protruding fangs.
Froofulks is never seen without a baby resting in or nursing from their chest fur; this baby is a natal form of Jellibat, with proportionately larger ears and a smaller face, and is not yet developed enough to play sports on their own.
Raremorph Froofulks has a more pale, orangey body, ranging from pale green to pale brown. Their chest fluff and wings are bright yellow, while the outer edges of their wings are always pink.
Froofulks' raremorph status is entirely independent of their baby's raremorph status. The baby ranges in colour from orange to yellow, and can also be bright green, all entirely independent of their mother's coloration. This suggests that raremorphism is not hereditary.
Froofulks habitat used to be what is now Crown Farms, but when the jungle there was clear-cut to plant rubber trees, they were forced to migrate, and have since inhabited Geo City.

The conditions that cause this Yearning to appear are still under research. It seems there is a minimum level requirement, but "doing ingame interactions" are also necessary. [1]
