Gym

From Beastiepedia: The Beastieball Wiki
A typical Gym

Gyms are places where various items can be exchanged to improve Beasties' stats. Gyms are run by Staying Power Fitness, and are where you can get sponsored by them if you meet their criteria.

Locations

Gyms can be found in:

Hyperlink Terminal's Gym is referred to as a "Fitness Gym", presumably to make it sound classy and upscale.

Functions

At a Gym, you select a Beastie for training, then exchange various training items for their effects on that Beastie.

Here is a list of the items that can be used at a Gym and their basic functions:

All tokens are also available for purchase at the Gym, for $10 each.

Tokens increase Training Points in a given stat. Every 4 Training Points, whether obtained through Tokens or through other Beasties, adds 1 bonus, which scales with level. Each bonus is worth +1 to that stat at level 50 and +2 at level 100. A Beastie can have up to 240 Training Points distributed between their stats, with a max of 120 in any given stat.

Conditioning items increase COACHED %, which basically brings a Beastie up to their species' default base stats.

For more information on these features, see Training.

This is also where you can use items to change your Beastie's trait, which is the only way to obtain a recessive trait. There is also an item for increasing your Beastie's level.
