Indie
Indie is an NPC in Beastieball. They are a veteran Raremorph hunter who gives the player assistance when hunting Raremorphs of their own.
Story
Indie stands just outside the Zip Station in Domain Park, where they explain Raremorphs to the player. Before revealing their "secrets" of Raremorph hunting, they challenge the player to a match where they can show off their own Raremorph, Baja#03. They refer to this match as "the Raremorph hunter's honor". After losing, they admit they thought their Beasties's "cool looks" would give them an advantage, but that Raremorphs actually aren't stronger than other Beasties.
Raremorph tips
After being defeated in a Beastieball match, Indie offers the player several tips for Raremorph hunting:
- Look for wild Beasties that sparkle: You can see it and hear it too. They're ways at the front of a wild Beastie pack, so you can easily spot them outside of a match.
- With a few exceptions, you'll need to fully Research a Beastie before you can see Raremorphs of them. They'll also only appear if you have a jersey capable of recruiting them. You can always forfeit and try multiple times to recruit them, but if you defeat them, they'll scatter, so play carefully. Usually you'll want to Save the game when you spot one, in case something goes wrong.
- To increase your odds of seeing Raremorphs, attract spray items are "your best friends!". Your odds of seeing a Raremorph are doubled while one is active. Indie also mentions that your odds of finding Raremorphs will be even greater if you complete Research on all Beasties, alluding to the Old Guidebook item.
Services
In addition to information, Indie provides two practical services for Raremorph hunters:
- Once the player has recruited a Raremorph, in addition to being very impressed, Indie will allow the player to install their Raremorph tracker Beastiepedia widget, which allows them to see what Beasties they've recruited the Raremorph forms of at a glance.
- If the player has seen a Raremorph in the wild, but did not capture or defeat it, they can speak to Indie, who will mention hearing rumors of that Beastie. The Beastie will then be marked on the player's map in a random different location, where afterwards it will "roam" to different areas.
- This service is only available if the player has not yet recruited a Raremorph of that species.

Trivia
- Indie is a Kickstarter backer character, based on IndieAlpaca, who also creates videos related to Raremorph hunting. The design on Indie's shirt is a reference the character IndieAlpaca uses in their videos.
